Our associates, AMBICO Group, offers services in platform installation and de-commissioning / removal via its ISO 9001 certified engineering company. Formerly M/s. Heerema Marine Contractors India Pvt Ltd, the company was taken over in 2012 and is now Ambico Engineering India Pvt Ltd (AEIPV)

Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) on platform removals in the North Sea. The Company offers a complete range of services for platform engineering,including in-place and installation analysis.

AEIPV team of SACS experienced engineers is extremely equipped to handle all phases of jacket designing and have been assigned to HMC’s semi-submersible crane vessels for on-board engineering support during pipe- laying activities.

The engineering expertise can be divided into the following three broad categories.

AEIPV are geared to handle the entire gamut of jacket engineering (using SACS suite of programs), namely :

  • FEED/ Conceptual design of jackets and decks.
  • In-service design analysis including in-place analysis with pile soil interaction, dynamic & fatigue analysis.
  • Installation engineering including load-out, lift and transportation engineering for jackets and decks.
  • Naval capabilities include barge modelling and stability calculations for open sea tow.
  • Barge stability analysis for installation engineering, Grillage and sea fastening design and design of installation.
  • Associated activities such as preparation of material take-off reports, weight control reports, preparation/approval of RFQ’s for vendor items.
Pipe Lay Analysis

The Subsea Installation & Pipelay (SIP) team capabilities include:

  • Pipeline installation analysis for J-lay, S-lay and Reel-lay method using FLEXCOM software including ultra-deep waters (up to 3000m).
  • Ability to handle every aspect of subsea structures installation (PLET/PLEM, ILT’s), umbilical’s, risers and flowlines (SURF) including static analysis, current analysis, dynamic analysis & fatigue.
  • Design expertise includes checking of nominated vessel capabilities to execute the project.
  • Installation / contingency analysis like Abandonment & Recovery (A&R), weather vane analysis, etc.;
  • Optimisation studies for installation procedures to reduce the offshore time while maintaining the pipeline integrity during installation.

AEIPV team is also able to undertake MicroStation 3D modelling including extraction of 2D drawings and associated activities such as preparation of fabrication/shop drawings and material take-offs.
